The Meadows opened with great fanfare and
success on June 29, 1946. When Vaughn and the band were traveling the
country, guest bands would appear at The Meadows. The Jack Edwards band
appeared many times. He and Johnny Watson composed the following song: The Meadows Route 9-On The Turnpike! Enjoy.
