William Monroe

Vaughn's brother, William (see photo, left) played in his band for a time and also sang. "He had a beautiful voice"  relates daughter, Shari, "but his calling was in the air. He loved planes and taught for the Air Force for many years."

Joseph recalls, "My father, William (also a wonderful singer), was very active with his brother through the early years of their musical careers, but was pulled from the endeavor by his Air Force duties and career in WWII and Korea. They had been inseparable until that time."
