Vaughn's Favorite Song

I had the privilege of talking to Vaughn on the Steel Pier in Atlantic City in 1950. They had a house there full of gadgets of the future, and he was walking and looking at the exhibits. My girl spotted him and before a crowd gathered we had him to ourselves for a few minutes. I asked him to sing a few bars of "Racing with the Moon". Vaughn said that his contract forbid him. That's when I asked for his favorite song, and his reply was "You Were Meant for Me" because it was his and Marian's favorite.
