I Danced with Dynamite

I was born and lived for all my young life in Long Island, N.Y. For my 13th birthday in 1945, my parents took me to the Commodore Hotel in New York City. While having dinner, my father who was bold enough to do anything, asked Vaughn Monroe whose band was playing there if he would mind dancing with me. He not only did, we danced the entire song. I wish I could remember the name of the song.
