READER'S DIGEST SET RD4-112 was to be called "Swing Again," but was never commercially issued; re-titled "The Big Bands Are Back Swinging Today's Hits," but again, not issued. Copies were given to the artists involved and the rest destroyed. Vaughn Monroe was one of many bands participating in the set. The 51 West issue (below) was courtesy of ARDEE Special Products (ARDEE was Reader's Digest initials RD spelled phonetically). These selections were issued on other Reader's Digest sets later on, but not together. Also issued as part of a Columbia Special Products Set was "The Language of Love." The vocal group was called The Moon Maids on the 51 West album.
Thanks to Jay Popa for the above information! Click here to see further information on Vaughn's recorded advertisement for Reader's Digest records (also located in the Resume section of the website).
