I'd like to
recommend one of my very favorite CDs--it's called VAUGHN MONROE AND HIS
ORCHESTRA~THE VERY BEST OF. There are others out there with the same or
similar names (as there are several titled RACING WITH THE MOON, too). The
25 tracks are all sung by Vaughn Monroe. They include some war-time era
songs, five or six western/country songs and lots of old standards. Many
are love songs--happy and sad ones--and they are well done and uplifting
(but then, I am prejudiced). Marian Gower This CD contains one of my all time favorite war-time era songs--"Be Brave Beloved." I have only seen it commercially on The Vaughn Monroe Collection CD by Fare UK. Claire Schwartz |
