This "Racing With
The Moon" CD is part of the Collector's Choice "Gentlemen of Song"
series. It has only about half of the number of songs that are crammed
onto other CD's, but what's here is good. A refreshing departure from the
usual selections! Highly recommended. Of special interest is the "Happy Trumpeter" featuring Vaughn Monroe on the valve trombone. A lively and catchy little tune, and fun to dance to. "Shadrack" is performed brilliantly by Vaughn, and his romantic baritone is never better in "How Soon", "Harbor Lights" and "Don't Go To Strangers".
